Orientation Training for Officers of the Kerala Khadi & Village Industries Board

An Orientation Training Programme for the officers of the Kerala Khadi & Village Industries Board (KKVIB) was successfully conducted from the 7th to the 9th of May 2024 at the Institute of Management in Government (IMG), Thiruvananthapuram. The programme was meticulously designed to equip the participants with the necessary skills and knowledge to enhance their professional competence and contribute to the overall development of the KKVIB.

The three-day programme featured a variety of sessions aimed at enhancing the participants' knowledge and skills in key areas of governance and administration. On the first day, participants attended sessions on "Personal and Professional Excellence" and "Kerala Service Rules (KSR)," which provided insights into improving personal effectiveness and understanding the rules governing service in the government sector. The second day covered "Kerala State & Subordinate Service Rules (KS&SSR)" and "CCR Regulation Punishment and Appeal," offering a deep dive into regulatory frameworks that impact the participants' roles. The final day focused on practical aspects like "Income Tax" and familiarization with the "KKVIB Act 1957 & RTI Act 2005," which are critical for their operational duties.

In addition to the scheduled sessions, the programme was enriched by an interactive session with the Director of IMG, Shri. K Jayakumar, who provided valuable insights on transforming the Khadi & Village Industries Board into a profitable institution. His address was both motivational and strategic, offering practical suggestions for improving the board's performance. The programme concluded with a valedictory function where participants expressed their positive feedback on the quality of the sessions and the expertise of the faculty. The training was a resounding success, equipping the officers with essential knowledge and motivation to excel in their roles.
